Well, I want *my* call to be "K".
Actually, international agreements and regulations do not
allow a 1X1 format; 1X2, 2X1, 2X2, 1X3 or 2X3 only,
JY1 notwithstanding. :-).

Someone else we know might like ah6fu I don't think he can get enough
spark from a tv set to justify a 1x1 call. The call is available as the
last fellow could not handle it ;)

For the pickers of nits out there, this was from a usershell at Netcom.
Bottom line, the ftp server at <something>.std.com is indeed up and working.
I guess if you've logged in with a "-"prefix to suppress the logon message
you miss the details and only get the access denied comment. Also, it is
entirely NORMAL to get access denied to anonymous users on most systems.
After all the system IS there for the "real" users. Anonymous is a freebie
for guests. Kind of like that "special" window at the bank for special
customers. But sometimes (when there aren't any) they'll take the regulars.

Greetings...you'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge when it comes to using
FTP procedures....haven't been at this long....using FTP I login to FUNE.FI,
no problem there...once I find a .ZIP file I want I ask it to GET the file...
again no problem, the program is sent to my local mainframe...I log off of the
FTP address and go to the local mainframe and ask to send...I receive the file
as a .ZIP but cannot UNZip it...I ALWAYS get "WARNING!" file fails CRC check or
"has bad table"....on the local mainframe we have to use KERMIT to transfer
files...or at least that is what I was told....like I said, I'm new at this so
please exucuse my lack of knowledge associated with using FTP procedures...I
thank you in advance for any information I might receive. Oh ya, for those
"few" of you who just can't resist jumping down my throat because I don't have
a clue what I'm talking about....go play somewhere else...what I need is a littl
e help not to be set on fire! 73s...Roger

Subject: KANSAS CITY TRACKER PROTOCOL
To: info-hams@ucsd.edu
We are presently implementating an autotracking ground station for satellite
work. We are using a German design tracking interface unit which we would like
to implement with Instant Track. The drivers supplied with Instant track work
with the Kansas City tracker board. I believe in a document called drv???.doc
their is a complete description of the various registers etc. Does anyone have
a copy of this document or any information that can be of use to us in
writing TSR to interface with Instant track?
Thanks in advance.

best radio i have ever purchased! It goes with me from the house, to the car to
the house, to the red cross truck to red cross national assignments back to the
house. It's been dropped once or twice and doesn't seem to mind it.
It is also if memory serves me right, the only ham rig that is built to
millitary specs.
I have had mine for a little over three years now and bought a yaesu ht because
the 2400H worked out so well!

I write it as PacTOR mainly because the documentation I've seen (I think
it was the Kantronics documentation) wrote it that way. I'd assumed that
this was the correct ``spelling''. I'd be interested in other opinions
on this, too.
